Hi George,
Both barrels are 20.5" and come in sporter contour which is a tapered barrel. Barrels come in different amounts of taper. A sporter taper is usually the lightest barrel a manufacturer makes. So, this is closer to medium-light contour barrels. I hope this helps.

If you’re looking for HEAVY barrels, this isn’t for you. I have this and it is definitely nit a heavy barrel setup. I love mine, I use mine for small game hunting here in California. It was my pleasure to assist you.

George, both the .17 HMR and .22 Long Rifle caliber have 20.5" Medium Contour barrels.
