Yes, they will work very well. Hordany critical defense is highly rated and for good reasons. It has great expansion, good penetration, great weight retention and minimum jacket separation. So yes I'd definitely recommend this. Plus I own the Ruger PC carbine the American flag edition and great gun and in my opinion would make a great defense weapon. Hope this helps.

Yes this is a great for home deffense in a Ruger PC carbine, the longer barrel of the carbine is going to give this increased velocity, so it will hit harder and expand even better.
