Hi Point JHP45 9+1 .45 ACP +P 4.5" is this or other Hi Point pistols legal in IL?
Unfortunately no, hipoint pistols are not legal in Illinois because they use metal in the slide that can melt under 800 degrees Fahrenheit. In order for a pistol to be legal in Illinois it has to meet the melting point laws. So unfortunately no hipoint pistol is legal in Illinois. Sorry but hope this helps.
Robert, yes Sir, there are no current restrictions in IL on the Hi Point Pistols. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Yes it is legal in ILL. budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
