  • I recently bought a Ruger SR1911 and am concerned about the noticeable play in the trigger as in a can grasp the trigger and wiggle it from side to side. This doesn’t seem proper. I actually called Ruger customer support. The woman on the phone assured me this was normal, but I’m curious if any of you have similar experience or thoughts on the trigger?

  • Christopher, this is normal. Not only is it normal for Ruger 1911s, its normal for most 1911s. Its just the way the 1911 trigger was designed. Hope this helps.
