  • Just bought my Rossi. Out of the box the charging handle is loose. Real wobbly. Is this normal? I've read reviews where they say it is.

  • Just the design of the Rossi receiver with how the bolt & charging handle work in conjunction with one another. You get the "Wiggle" on the charging handle.

  • Joseph, I actually have this gun, and mine is the same. It's normal and nothing to worry about. I have a few thousand round through mine and the charging handle hasn't fallen off yet. Video here >>> youtube.com/watch?v=qXpnzWkmzQM .....Have a great day!

  • Joseph, yes, 100% normal. All the charging handles on Rossi rs22 have alot of wiggle/play in them. It's just the way they're made. The charging handle isn't actually attached to the bolt, it just sits in-between the grooves on the bolt. Once you take it apart and clean it you'll realize why it wiggles. Absolutely nothing to worry about. My Marlin model 60 sb does the same thing. Hope this helps.
