Dr.Timothy, this revolver operates both Double Action (straight trigger pull) and Single Action (with a thumb of the hammer). Cheers and stay safe!

Dr. Timothy, this is both double action and single action. So you can choose between just pulling the trigger for a quick double action pull or cocking the hammer for a light single action trigger pull. Hope this helps.
