Hi Robert and welcome. The slide is not cut for Optics. You could use a dovetail optics plate in place of the rear sight : https://outerimpact.com/product/modular-red-dot-adapter-mra-for-fn-509-pistol/ -------- Cheers and stay safe!

This model is Not optics ready so no, the slide is not cut for a Red Dot.
