I recently purchased an AR-10 in .308, and I was trying to find factory ammunition that my rifle likes. The Federal Gold Medal .308 Winchester 185GR Berger OTM GM LR was my first choice, based on my experience with this ammunition in 6.5 Creedmoor. This ammunition is a flat-shooting ammunition, with which I was able to shoot sub-MOA at 100 yards. I would definitely recommend this ammunition for short and long range shooting. Additionally, Bud's price is right for this ammunition.

A:185 grain is a good weight for 1:10 twist ratio. You want heavier grain ammo for faster twist ratios. So this will work just fine, I'd actually say this is right around the preferred grain for your twist ratio. I'd buy a box or two try it out and if you get great accuracy from it then stock up. Hope this helps.See 2 more answers |
