While a fun/historical pocket gun, this does not stack up as a defensive handgun. My Kahr PM40 is lighter, faster and holds 6. Cocking the hammer can be done by snapping the wrist, but its still much slower than a DA trigger. For the money I recommend a S&W Airweight .38.

Nice little shooter, surprised about how easy it was to hit bullseye at 7 yards. Easy to conceal, good get them off of you gun.

Bond Arms make exceptional pieces. their quality exceeds most manufacturers . the Backup is a great gun. Bud's shipped my order within one day. You cannot beat that kind of service. I will definitely recommend them to all of my friends.

Great gun, shoots good. If your looking for a derringer the Bond Arms Backup or any of their models are the best you'll find. The service from Bud's was outstanding. The manual and other things that were supposed to be in box were missing. Called them about issue. They immediately took care of the problem by calling the manufacturer to have the missing items sent to me.

The black textured frame and the bead blasted stainless make this a unique firearm from Bond Arms. With the 2.5" barrel in 9mm, the recoil is surprisingly non-existent. The black rubber grips help control this little package and conceals very easily. This Backup makes a good secondary piece to your primary firearm. With Buds great service, you usually have your firearm at your FFL in a few days.
