Savage Arms 110 High Country 30-06 Springfield Bolt Action Rifle - Stainless/Silver, 22" Barrel, 4+1 Rounds, Synthetic, Camo Stock

This rifle is a tack driver. Love the accustock adjustment for length of pull and comb height. The trigger is smooth and light. This is my second Savage 110 and the High Country is definitely a premium grade 110. Hard to beat a Savage for the quality you get at this price point.

Love the look and feel of this rifle. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet. That is the reason for 4 stars. I will update my review when i do. As for Buds they always do a great job with communication and fast shipping

Finally went to range, I don't review until I shoot it. I have over a dozen purchases with Buds - enough said. I have many different calibers and decided to go back old school with this 30-06. My first hunting rifle was an 30-06, I have come full circle. 15 years ago I wouldn't of given a Savage a second look, I now have 6 of them and love all of them. First, this is a good-looking rifle, I like the camo pattern stock, the spiral barrel and bolt look amazing, the PVD coating is very well done. The bad - it takes longer to clean the spirals. The throat on this gun measured at 3.222 inches, my other older 30-06 measures at 3.300 inches so I had to adjust my OAL on my reloads to 3.200 inches from 3.280 inches. With these 150gr soft points, after sighting in had sub moa groups. The trigger pull was at 3 lbs out of the box, no need to adjust. The accustock fit me the way it came, so didn't have to adjust that either. I was surprised at the low recoil, I expected it to kick more. I am very pleased with this rifle, I highly recommend the Savage 110 High Country. My biggest problem, choosing which rifles I will use to go hunt. I am sure this one will make the trip next year.
