I regret purchasing this gun. It arrived with the orange rubber tag so wedged into the slide that I could not move the slide at all - even after calling Walther Tech Support.
I HATE the “Paddle Magazine Release,” which is located on the rear part of the Trigger Guard. It is in an inconvenient position & very stiff to operate. Why wasn’t a Normal Push Button Release Installed in this Pistol ?
I’ve had to send the Pistol back to Ft. Smith, Arkansas for repair.
Even after the slide is fixed, I will always Hate the Magazine Release.
What was Walther thinking ?

First, as always, Buds delivery and service were exceptional. Now the gun. Just back from the range where I ran 200 rounds through it. Used CCI Mini-Mag and I had zero misfires. Zero. First time ever on any handgun. It is also one of the most fun guns I have ever fired, I mean I wish I had more time today but next time. Now to clean it. Not really expecting a great time.

My lady friend works as a supervisor @ a hospital, and arrives, then leaves in the dark. I first supplied her with a .38spl snub, but her being a newcomer, she found it uncomfortable when she shot it, during her CCW qualification. She did well and really liked the range instructors Walther .22. So Happy Birthday! With practice, she won't feel so vulnerable. SHE LOVES IT. Ordered the PPQD 22, but was sent the PPQ 22.. Since she will be training on her first firearm, she'll get it right without the "Decocker". This is what happens when you're ordering something during a SCAMDIMIC.

Not a bad .22. Looks good, good weight. right out of the box shooting cheap 36 grain I was having issues with the first round in the mag almost every shot. it seems the 36 wasn't strong enough to eject the brass. then about once ever 10 round mag I'd have to manually eject the previous round. tried 2 different 36 grain, same thing. moved to 40 grain federal and didn't have any issues in about 40 shots. It's a nice starter pistol, and I plan on using it to teach the kids firearm safety. just be mindful it has a hard time cycling cheap ammo.
