I love this pistol. It has run flawlessly and has become one of my favorite handguns from my collection. As a personal preference I changed the grips out with some VZs but otherwise it has stayed completely stock.

I was skeptical at first about purchasing this firearm but after reading the reviews online I thought I would give this firearms a chance. I’m was very pleased with the condition of the gun when I picked it up. This gun is one of the smoothest handgun I’ve ever shot. 200 rounds no hiccups.

The Iver Johnson Hawk shot great with no ftf or fte. The trigger is nice and smooth. The kick back or recoil if you will is not too bad as you might expect from a 45. The only draw back is it is a little heavier than i was expecting, but with a good gun belt and my owb holster it rides really well on my hip. Overall it is a very good value for a 1911 and well worth the money. And as for budsgunshop what can i say, excellent service and very fast shipping as usual. By far the best place to buy your next firearm. They really know how to take care of their customers with great prices and quality service.

I have to say I'm very impressed. I've owned and shot many 1911s including colts and Kimbers now I know there not the best on the market but just using them as an example. For the price I can say this gun is nearly as tight and as smooth as any $1200 1911. I have plans to pick up a 5 inch soon now that I got the chance to handle this iver Johnson commander. Do yourself a favor stop thinking about it and second guessing like I did at first and just buy it you won't be disappointed.
