Sig Sauer P365 XL Optic Ready 9mm 3.70 10+1 - 3.7" Barrel, 10 Rounds, 3-Dot Sights

I purchased the P365 XL Optic model as a carry gun, my brother carries a regular P365 off duty and swears by it, he shoots it better than his duty weapon. I went with the XL for the extra grip length because i have bigger hands and I wanted a pistol with an optic. Buds shipped the pistol fast as always and I picked it up three days later at my FFL. I have to say, i was really disappointed right off the bat. The optic is terrible, no wonder its called the Romeo Zero. The problem besides the not so great polymer frame is that you are not able to co-witness. The back of the optic actually has a rear sight built in that is supposed to allow co-witness but it sits way too low and you can’t see the front sight. There was also a small amount of the adhesive used to hold the lens in sticking out which is very distracting. This is a huge problem and i really don’t know how Sig Sauer allows a product to make it into customers hands like that, somebody must have noticed that problem is i noticed it right out of the box, but they shipped it anyway. As far as the pistol goes, its too quality, no surprise there. It shot accurately, recoil was very manageable and the P365 is just a pleasant gun to carry, its slim and light, you almost forget you’re carrying a pistol, but because of the huge flaw with the optic i decided to trade it for a Glock 48 with night sights and i don't regret it. If this pistol will be your first experience with a red dot on a pistol like it was for me id suggest maybe a Springfield Hellcat OSP or or 43x MOS. 5/5 stars for Buds, 5/5 stars for the pistol, 1/5 stars for the optic, an average of 3* total. Although the product name has Optic Ready in the title, there was nothing, other than the profile picture, to let you know if it comes with the REMEO 0 RMR. So I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the FFL and discovered that this model came with the red dot. This isn't a Christmas gift for myself, but it felt like Christmas day. I'm excited to shoot this little gun and become familiar with the ins and outs. I was going purchased the Holosun 507C RMR, now I can hold off and use the attached REMEO 0 to see if it addresses my needs. I have two other P365's so I've become a huge fan of this subcompact lineup.
