I had high high hopes for this gun but it’s a little disappointing. Doesn’t group as tight as I hoped. I may need to just keep trying different loads possibly.

T/C Venture II is a very nice rifle for an "entry level" rifle. This was my first experience with 5R rifling and it is accurate! I had no trouble developing a load for it. It's a shame T/C is out of business! My advice is if you see a Venture or Venture II on the used rack in a caliber you like, GRAB IT! The only thing I've changed is the bolt knob which increased both the length of the handle and the size of the knob. Much handier to use. Weathershield coating is durable and this makes for a great Coyote rifle when the weather turns wet. Well pleased!

More accurate than I am - once I got it sighted in I fired 4 rounds at each of the four corners of a sighting in target at 50 yards (as long as my range goes). I could could cover each set with a quarter. I ain't me that is good -it is the rifle. Not bad for $400 and some change...

For the price after rebate seems like a nice gun. Feels nice in my hands and very nice trigger. The threaded barrel adds a nice touch! I have ordered a fluted flash can to help with the noise and will review again after I dial it in.

Very nice gun! I bought it in 223. The bolt takes a little getting used to. I'm not a fan of any plastic stock, however, the stock on this gun feels right. It may be plastic but its not flimsy or garbage. I was a little on the fence because I originally heard that the Venture wasn't too well received due to the trigger pull being ridiculously heavy. The Venture II has a very nice, smooth, crisp trigger. I am thoroughly pleased with this rifle! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to buy a budget rifle!

This rifle is well worth the money if you are looking for an out of the box accurate rifle. I removed the scope mounts and replaced them with a rail and mounted a scope, 4.5 to 14. The bolt action is a little stiff but seems to be loosening up with use. The downside, which I was aware of, is the 3 round limit or 4 if you put a round in the chamber. I bought two extra magazines which were relatively cheap at $25 a piece. I bought this rifle in 223/5.56. If I didn't have 30-06 bolt action rifles already I would purchase another in 308.A friend of mine bought the earlier model in 30-06 which I knew was an accurate rifle. The 223/5.56 in this model is a real pleasure to shoot. Normally when I hear someone say they shot a 1/2 inch group at 100 yards I'm very skeptical. The first time to the range I shot handloads using 75 grain hornady and XBR 8208 which was accurate in my AR15. I measured the 5 shot group with calipers at .65 inches. going from the center of the two farthest shots. I'm sure if I had told my shooting buddy how accurate this rifle shot he would not have believed it if he wasn't there to see it and shoot it for himself. The first time to the range I did a barrel conditioning with a shoot and clean procedure. The rifle barrel does now seem to clean with a few patches and shooter's choice. It comes with a good trigger which helps in getting off a clean trigger release and resultant accuracy. The barrel twist is 1 in 9 but this rifle appears to love 75 grain bullets. I shot some 77 grain but these would not group less than an inch but may shoot better with a different powder choice. I'm now working up a load using 55 grain bullets. I haven't got the $75 rebate yet which seems to be a hassle to apply for.
