Can you put a red dot on it?

I have never had a problem from Buds but I just got this gun and my mags only fit 19 rounds but this says 20+1 and 20 round mags in description. So will they eventually break in and hold 20? or where can I get more mags which im gonna buy anyways for this and my other springfields.

I have this exact pistol and it does hold 20+1, that 20th rd can be a bear to get in at first, but it is do-able id highly recommend using a maglula mag loader and leave it loaded to 20 not 19, trust me it'll fit. And it'll eventually break the spring in it'll still be a little tight but not to bad. They also make a tactical 22rd magazine, out of stock at buds right now. Yes, they'll eventually break in and you'll be able to add all 20. I'd recommend filling it up and sitting it filled for awhile and shooting a couple mags threw the pistol will certainly help to. Sometimes new magazines can be hard to impossible to load that last round until they're broke in. Hope this helps.

What exactly is double trigger on a striker fire

Double action striker means the slide pulls the striker back 3/4 of the way. Then the trigger pull finishes pulling the striker back the other quarter of the way. The trigger also releases the striker. So it performs two actions, hence double action. A single action trigger only performs one action and that's releasing the hammer or striker. Hopefully explained this well and hope it helps.

Robert, Double-action means that two things happen when the trigger is pulled: The firing mechanism (hammer or striker) is cocked and then released. ... Double-action/single-action means the first shot out of the gun is fired by cocking and releasing the firing mechanism — hammer or striker — with the first trigger pull. In short, DAO has 2nd strike capability.

Some striker fired guns have Precocked strikers (Vp9, PPQ, PDP) and it is supposed to give the trigger a lighter, shorter, crisper break. Striker fired guns that don't have precocked strikers are generally referred to by some manufacturers as Double action only (DAO). I own this exact pistol you linked to, and it has a super crisp flat faced trigger, that breaks right at 90⁰, and about 4½ of pressure, the reset is short, and the wall on both the initial shot and follow up shots, is super crisp with a clean break. The XDM META trigger is on par with other top striker fired pistols, like the VP9 walthers, and CZs.

This will only work with XDM magazines, it will not work with XDM compact magazines, it will work with standard 19rd XDM magazines ( but you must remove the magwell, which is quick and easy, remove 1 - 3/32 roll pin from the bottom of the grip, pull the backstrap and magwell off then reinstall, backstrap without magwell) it also takes the Elite 20rd and elite tactical 22rd magazines. This gun is a pretty sweet shooter, and spare magazines are pretty inexpensive compared to other pistols i own.

no they are not XD and XDm mags for the 45 caliber ARE interchangeable. XD and XDm mags in the other calibers are not interchangeable.Springfield double stacks have to be from the same family for mag compatibility, unfortunately. I.e. XD XDM, etc.

As the others said there is no manual thumb safety but the grip safety is simple and easily depressed by right or left handed shooters when a full grip is obtained. This Pistol also features ambidextrous slide release levers as well as ambidextrous magazine release levers, features a combat U rear sight and a fiber optic front sight, has the META (match enhanced trigger assembly) and a match grade barrel, this pistol is very smooth and Ergonomic, and one of my favorite pistols i own, its a little big for an edc piece but due to its high capacity it sits in my front room in a "hidea box" this is my go to pistol for a potential home intruder, this would be the gun I grab to accompany me to get to my rifles.

Dean, it does not have a Manual Safety but includes a Grip Safety (Safety Lever at the rear upper Grip), a Trigger Bar Safety, a Loaded Chamber Indicator and Striker Status Indicator. Cheers and stay safe!

It has 2 safeties. 1 on the back of the grip like a 1911. The other is on the trigger like a glock. Both are instinctual when you grip and fire the weapon.

Well first off buds is by far the best place to get anything 2A. And secondly the springfield xdm elite 9mm is the best feeling gun I have ever held in my hand it is extremely accurate and hardly no recoil at all great gun !!

Ordered this 4.5 ELITE on 8/9/21 received it on 8/17/21. Next day at the range, shooting 124 gr S&B ammo, the gun and both 20 rd. mags ran without out any problems at all. The cases ejected into one small pile (mostly), that is a plus, at a outdoor range. I shoot a lot and right away I like this gun for range and nightstand duty. Fit, finish and function -perfect. This is a really nice gun.

Another that I have no complaints about. The elite has had nearly 1000 rounds through it with no issues. A little heavier than my P10F but for 550ish I'm happy.

Haven’t thrown a lot doe range yet, but I’m very impressed with a number of things.
First, the balance of the gun is exceptional.

Awesome firearm. This is the second Springfield pistol I have bought and it’s sweet. The new hellcat rear sight is amazing and the flared mag well is a fantastic addition. Awesome and fast shipping through buds.

This gun is great. Shoots smoothly with no failures through approx. 500 rounds. That includes various grain ammo including steel case. Love the sights. Quick acquisition of target with a crisp audible/tactile reset. Applied Talon Pro grips which, in my opinion, made it perfect. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
