For you who have both the VR60 and VR80, which do you prefer and why?

I prefer the VR80, just because it is such a bad a$$ looking gun. I'm not a big fan of the carry handle on the VR60, and prefer the flip up sights on the VR80. Functionality wise, you can't go wr0ng with either one. Stay safe & have a great day!

Donald, unfortunately no, this is not legal in new jersey due to the Pistol grip. Any semi automatic shotgun with a pistol grip is prohibited in new jersey. If you want a tactical shotgun I'd recommend a pump action since they dont have the same strict laws. Sorry but hope this helps.

The return spring is also located around the same support tube which is concealed by an enlarged polymer handguard. The barrel can be very easily removed from the upper receiver. Rock island armory has a bad habit of not posting their length of pull on any of their shotguns not even on their website. So unfortunately the only way to find out is to contact them at (775) 537-1444 or email them at support@armscor.com. just give them the UPC 812285025834 or model number 601bc and they'll be able to assist you. Buds won't alter a firearm in any way other than removing the magazine to make it state compliant and won't ship a firearm to let an FFL make it state compliant. Again I'd recommend a pump action if you want a tactical shotgun. Hope this helps.

Buds will not ship a non compliant shotgun to your ffl, it must be complaint as is. You'd need to find one in stock locally, at an ffl that would do the compliance work, just not going to be able to purchase it through buds.

This is a good reliable shotgun, for the price you'll be hard pressed to find one better, especially an AR style magazine fed shotgun like this one. There may be a break in period of a couple boxes of ammo but after that this will make a fine home defense weapon.
