I have been a TC fan for a long time, purchasing my Contender 30 years ago. I like the Encore a lot, but it doesn't have the nostalgia, or the trigger pull, of the old contenders. That said, it is everything it is supposed to be. I like the higher pressure chamberings available - mine is living as a 6.5 Creedmore rifle at the moment.

Very fun to shoot and these guns have a very good following.

Received both from Buds in a few days. Both guns are perfect for the kind of hunting I will be doing.

Product came fast and lightly greased. Trigger is a little heavy for my liking, but that can be adjusted easy enough. I like the stainless finish. Only thing I would change is the grip. It's a little to much reach to the trigger and maintain a firm grip.

Mated this up with a blued 460 S&W barrel and it is shooting with good results. Good trigger, and though the function takes some getting used to, it is very simple and straight forward. No functional problems of any kind. This is probably the best rig for long range handgun shooting that I have yet encountered.
