Puma 1873 .22 LR Buntline Revolver Black Grip - Blue/Black, 12" Barrel, 6 Rounds, Polymer Grips

Fun to shoot. Great looking wheel gun

I have wanted a Buntline since I watched Wyatt Earp on TV in the late 50's. I was too cheap to buy a more expensive brand. I was hesitant to buy a cheap one but was lured in by the low price and good reviews. The rear sight is plastic but fully adjustable with a small scale to index changes, Up is marked not not left or right. Mine adjusted easily. Accuracy unsupported is really good. Supported is almost rifle good out to 25 yards (old eyes). Trigger is quite good. All in all, an excellent pistol especially at this price point. What would I rather change on it? Steel sights, steel frame, no safety and at least 9 round capacity instead of 6. You can have all that, but it will cost you $500.00. If you just want a low priced high (enough) quality Buntline this is the gun for you. It is for me. Best bargain I've found in a long time.

Bought 2 1873 Puma .22LR six guns and they are awesome. Well I bought 8 more of them and only one out of 10 has a issue................we live in the country and has a shooting range so I bought all of them to use when friends and family comes over....................The one with issue just doesn't shoot as well and had to move rear sight over to one side and it still not enough...........The other nine are awesome shooters. Great service from Buds and fast shipping. The Buntline is a good looking and feeling gun for a low price. The Puma feels more like a full sized gun than a Heritage I have.

This was my first order from Bud's and I sorta screwed it up... but Bud's customer service went out of their to make things right! They are always courteous no matter how bad the situation gets and I'll be ordering more from Bud's and hopefully learning more about the ordering process. I bought this Puma 1873 Buntline for my grandson so he would not be playing with my "nice" revolvers. The action is smooth with no drag marks on the cylinder. Even with the 12" barrel it doesn't feel to awkward. However, with a full grip on the revolver, the hammer does come back too far before it locks in place causing the tip of the hammer to protrude into the web of the skin between the forefinger and thumb. All in all I am pleased with this revolver.

Ill begin with saying that I chose to buy this revolver because of the long barrel I thought of superior accuracy and boy was I wrong, this thing will shoot split groups, three shots on one side of your target and another 3 everywhere else,when you dial in your sights to were it supposed to be dead on and get the decent shot, the rest fly 8 inches all over the place at 15yards. I should have done my research and found out that puma is made by chiappa, the same company that make heritage arms, the same revoler I bought 1 year ago that has the interchangable cylinder for 22lr and 22mag, I made the mistake of buying the heritage with fixed sights and at 20yrds it shoots 14inches to the left, a decent group but over a foot to the left is BS, I already went though 3 brand name bulk ammo and haven't found one that the puma likes, but more importantly the cylinder chambers on the this puma are swelling after only 150rds, ( and i have yet to shoot any hot ammo, like mini mags or stingers)i have to push the round in with my thumb hard down the cylinder chamber because the edge of the cylinder is swelling and picks up after i shoot and eject the round, if i dont push it down hard and bend the edge the round will sit a tad bit high and the cylinder will not rotate, I shoud have never traded my smith and wesson 2206 extremely accurate and extraordinary trigger,
