This is the best shooting and most accurate ammo that I have used. I run it through my 308 rifles and it has tightened the groups up considerable. The best it has shot is 1/4" MOA from a bolt rifle. I have shot Federal for years, but have switched to this round for two of my guns. It works just as well in semi and bolt guns. Bud's price is cheaper than other dealers and the service is great.

I recently purchased an AR-10, and I was trying to find factory ammunition that my rifle likes. This was one of my choices. I found that it shot well, but not as good as some other factory ammunition that I have tried. I really wanted my rifle to like this ammunition, because of the price and the Hornady quality. So, it is very good ammunition. I would purchase it for a self-defense round, where, in most cases, you are shooting beyond 100 yards.

This is good ammo, but shoots better from my Remington Tactical Magpul Hunter 20" rifle (2578 fps) than my Sig 716 Patrol (2446 fps) with 16 " barrel. At 300 yards the Remington is sub-MOA while the Sig shoots about 3.5 inch 5-shot groups. By no means am I complaining about 3.5" groups from the Sig, which is a battle rifle, and not known for (or expected to be) a precision rifle, so that was just an observation noted. The TAP line of ammo is reliable and I've never had any failures to feed or extract. Bud's has the best pricing that I can find on the TAP line of ammo so I will continue to buy it from here.

These are the best off the shelf match rounds I’ve found for .308. Great general purpose for ringing steel or hunting. I’ve taken whitetail with these out to 400yds and they consistently group 0.5-1.0 MOA out of my precision rifle. These are my go to in this chambering.
