I mean....for the money, this thing is great. I've ran everything from cheap bird shot to slugs through it with no problems. I should mention I made sure to break it in with about 100 rounds of buckshot. After that, not a single failure so far. Probably have close to 1000 rounds through it.

gun works good it is a little ammo picky! Took it to the range and within the first few shots the fiber optic in the front sight flew out and got lost. No big deal brand new gun that should not happen i fixed it myself but that is why i am only giving it 2 stars

Received my MX5 very quickly, fast service and quick delivery from Buds. Finally got to the range and fired off 40 rounds, 20 were Remington Slugger rifled slugs 1560 FPS, several of the slugs wouldn’t chamber properly, had to reset the action, the other 20 were B&P Thrillshock rifled slugs 1550 FPS, had no problem whatsoever with these. Overall the MX5 handled excellent and am pleased with its performance, the problem I did have with it was after firing the 40 rounds the trigger pin had worked itself out about a third of its length from its socket and was protruding out the right side, this I wasn’t too pleased with! Had to shift the trigger to line up the pin in its socket to tap it back into place! Thus the 4 star rating! Thanks to Buds though for their no problem quick delivery!

Nice shotgun, great price. Solid and cannot wait to fire her. I have long arms so I added a foregrip for my own comfort.

This shotgun is one smooth shooter. I let my wife shoot it and she wouldn't give it back!!! Shells ain't cheap nowadays... The gun cycles flawlessly and handles the recoil very well. I did put an aftermarket rubber recoil pad on the buttstock to dampen the shock, but it really is nice to shoot out of the box as well.

Great gun, fun to shoot. Is perfect for home defense. Lightweight, feels good and handles better. Shipping was fast and pain free. Great transaction.

Haven’t shot it yet racks rounds smoothly, only problem I’ve had is the capacity is listed wrong. Gun only holds 2 1, anyone found an extension tube that fits? Looks amazing out of the box though.

I own a few shotguns but thus is my first semi-automatic model. The MX5 is well built, and looks good as well. The only negative is the instruction manual that came with it. The type is so tiny, that I can't read it without a magnifying glass. This shotty loads up differently that most I have seen. It seems to like the first round manually dropped into the chamber, then the rest load from the tube when the gun cycles. It won't allow me to load the tube, then rack it. I may be doing something wrong but thats how I've been doing it. A blast to shoot!
