The rifle looks beautiful. It is a little heavy, but not bad, and I expect that will help shoot it well

Beautiful rifle, the blueing is perfect as is the stock and finish. Case hardening is fine. Trigger is very good, can't wait to shoot it!

Despite its plain look, this rifle is a beauty. It's pretty dang heavy with the 30 inch barrel and only the little .379 inch hole drilled through it, but it really cuts down on the recoil. The action opens very smoothly, and the trigger is not bad. The color case hardening is the same as I've seen on all of Uberti's stuff. So if you've seen a Uberti 1873, you know what this one looks like. The 38-55 is also a nice change of pace from the 45-70 single shots that you often see since it's cheaper to reload.
