Great shooter right out of the box. 9 round cylinder makes it a joy to have those few extra rounds. The safety is a bit annoying at first, but after you get used to it, you don't think about it. Great gun for the price. I will be purchasing another, and I will be buying from Buds!

The gun itself is beautiful, it goes bang and often has a misfire (could be the ammo) it is a .22 anyhow. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there may be a hammer spring issue that needs to be fixed. When you pull the hammer back it gets stuck on some occasions, other than that its a good plinker.

Nice to have nine shots at first. Then loading becomes very boring. Plus cylinder get dirty very fast.

I have purchased this Heritage Rough Rider .22 with the Black Pearl Grips because of the extremely great manufacturing quality and design. This is my second purchase of the Rough rider series (1st - Horse shoe) and both add to my gun collections prestige. I have only shot about 100 rounds through this handgun. This gun looks a lot like an 1870s-1880s Colt Peacemaker. This is a solid, 9-shot Western-style revolver. Accuracy is pretty good at 31 feet. From a standing, two-handed firing position I have hit a two-inch circle about 40% of the time. The other rounds hit close by. I'm an average shooter. I call this my winter 22 as it is slow to unload and reload due to the Western-style design. Fiddling around during North Florida, 95 degree F summer days is not fun. This revolver HAS A MANUAL SAFETY. I find this to be a very cool feature. I have been shooting for over 45 years and this is the first revolver (all of these Heritage revolvers have the manual safety) that I've seen with a manual safety. The black mother-of-pearl grips look good on this gun. If you have the patience to slow down and shoot Western style, you would do very well to buy and enjoy shooting this revolver.

This is my third Heritage Rough Rider but the only 9 shot one of the three. I like the higher capacity a little better but their all fun to shoot. You can't beat the price and quality of this product. Two thumbs up.
