A pragmatically made accurate single action revolver with break top loading and unloading. Unpolished 2.5 inch barrel externals keep production cost down for smooth cylinder rotation and break top hinge. The star pusher extractor helps remove somewhat expanded shell cases. North American Arms folks informed me that one should not use 22WMR ammo meant for rifle barrels that have velocities greater than 1850 fps to avoid case expansion and resulting difficulty in extraction. This is good to know. I use 22LR and 22WMR ammo with long length rifle barrel exit velocities no more than 1850 fps. For appropriate use of this short 2.5 inch barrel handgun, it is better to use ammo specifically designed for short barrel discharge, with quick burning propellants, such as Speer Gold-Dot Personal Protection Short Barrel 22 WMR 40 gr ammo GDHP-SB.
