Rossi RB22M .22 Mag Bolt Action Rifle - Blue/Black, 21" Barrel, 5 Rounds, Synthetic, Wood Stock

Although I read every review on this rifle, I was a little skeptical ordering a $175.00 22 WMR. I was quite suprised as to the good quality and handling of this little rifle. Accuracy so far, is about 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards, however I think it can do a bit better. It feeds and ejects flawlessly. Very handy to carry on hikes as it weighs just over 5 lbs with the scope I added. This will go down as one of my better purchases. I will likely buy this rifle in 22LR sometime in the near future.

I purchased this firearm based upon reviews which I had read on a rimfire website and other
online reviews which gave it excellent ratings on accuracy and build quality being very good
for the price range. Also, the ease of ordering and previous purchases from Bud's was a factor.
It certainly looks like care has been taken in it's manufacture. The blueing looks good
no machining marks on the metal surfaces, steel magazine, good roll markings, bolt operates
smoothly, and the stock to metal fit is close. The barrel is free floated and does not touch
the sides of the barrel channel for the full length.
I am pleased with it except for one rather disappointing reality....The stock is NOT made
out of wood as in the item description. The stock is, in fact, made out of a synthetic material.
It looks like wood in the pictures. I went on the Rossi website and under special editions the
rifle stock is described as having a synthetic "wood look" stock.
I do not believe that Bud's description as the stock being "wood" was an oversight not
an intentional deception. I will contact them.
