The Vanguard Weatherguard comes equipped with a Mote Carlo Griptonite stock, that features pistol grip and forend inserts, along with a right side palm swell. I have owned several rifles throughout my life but I must admit that the Weatherby 308 is one of the best shooting rifles. I took my longest shot last year at 208 yards. I never thought about trying that distance with my other rifles. Just shooting this rifle is a pleasure. Great trigger response and shot place is spot on. In fact I bought my daughter the 243 version.
