It's plastic fantastic. A blend of HK, AR and MAC designs. Charging, fire control and magazine release HK, lower sear and hammer AR, bolt and carrier MAC.
However skeptical I might be the thing functions flawlessly and is the closest thing to shooting a semi auto MP5 that you will ever get. The added advantage of a bolt hold open is nice. Plan on dropping some money and time on upgrades for the charging handle, trigger, safety, sling points and magazine release - they all rate 1 star in stock form design and function. It is a toy waiting to eat your hard earned earned cash.
It will either bounce or break when you drop it. Laugh or throw up when you pull it apart and see what you just paid $1,000 for. I laughed. I don't expect a long service life for this weapon. It flat out isn't designed for durability. They should cost $500, but they don't so get one while you can.
Do the upgrades, mount an MRO, stick a suppressor on it and play with it like any grown up kid would do. It's fun to shoot and 9MM - what's not good about that.

The CZ Scorpion is a fantastic firearm. Shipping was fast and I had no problem with Buds. My only issue is pretty minor but it came with MBUS iron sights instead of the standard CZ metal sights shown in the photo. I called Buds and they referred me to CZ. CZ customer service told me they are only using MBUS from now on and they couldn’t do anything. Overall I’m happy with my purchase but a little upset at CZ and their customer service.

I absolutely love this gun! Everything about it is great. The only issue i had is that it shipped with magpull Filip up sights installed, instead of the normal aluminum low profile CZ sights from the factory. Personally I'm not a huge fan of Magpul sights and was disappointed that I had them on this gun. As far as I can tell it didn't say anything in the description about having these particular sites on it. Everything else was accurate though. Regardless I would still recommend this gun. Shoots straight, has low recoil and his overall fun to shoot.

Very impressive carbine! So far after one range visit and 300 rounds so good! No malfunctions of any kind and shoots and feels very smooth. The scorpion is also very easy to field strip and clean. Many people complain about the safety switch but I guess with my hands it wasn't a problem at all. Good Job CZ and thanks Buds for making the process quick and easy!

Awesome carbine. Always wanted another 9mm carbine after my short but fun time with my hipoint. This was a huge improvement and I really enjoy it. Caution , you will run through 9mm like it was free..
