Magnum Research 10 + 1 .17 Mach 2 Magnumlite Tactical w/17" - 17" Barrel

Buds gets my perfect rating for prices and promptness. However Magnum Research is another story...see below. I received my MDL-1722 from BudsGunShop.com on Friday 5/7/10. On Saturday 5/8/10 I started to shoot it. The first magazine, 10 rounds I fired had 2 jams where case did not eject and was trapped between the bolt and receiver. The second 10 rounds had a blow-up on the third round, this peppered my face and hands... and made my ears ring along with scaring the hell out of me. I cleaned the gun and tried again. I had 2 more blow-ups and 3 more jams over the next 65 rounds. I was firing Eley ammo if that matters. I have a Savage MKII that I have fired over 300 rounds of this same brick with perfect performance so I do not think this ammo is the problem on the MDL-1722. I called MR on Monday and got a FEDX shipping numbver to return Rifle for repair or replacement. They received rifle Tuesday and recorded it on Wednesday 5/12/2010. I called evry week to get a status and anticipated return. I always got same answer they had not looked at rifle yet. I rate their product inferior and their service the same. I own many firearms and will never purchase another Magnum Reserach product again.
