The wood has cracked from the back side where the bolts hold the Lock. The rifle was shot about 20 times and cracked with 50 grains of powder, Witch is significantly lower than the owners manual says. I have to say that the hardwood stock appears to be better on this one than the deluxe. I’m not sure what traditions is doing????
I have contacted Traditions to see about a replacement but they are so busy that it’s been a nightmare. That should tell you something is up with the quality of work they have been pumping out this year. I wouldn’t buy this again, spend the extra money and get a pedersoli I wish I had.

I nicknamed this beauty "The Patriot." It hangs not so much to shoot, but to remind of the men who fought in the revolution to win our freedom. The Green Mountain Boys used a similar rifle for long range ambush warfare. It made the Brown Bess look obsolete. Thanks Buds for great customer service.

Flint lock and frizzen misaligned, primer pan and touchhole misaligned, tweaked the later a bit. Actually worked both shots I've tried so far. Really disappointed with the quality. Generally a beautiful rifle and I love it, will shoot more.
