CVA WOLF 50CAL 24 FOS NITRIDE HARDWOODS GRN

Best inline muzzleloader for the money, hands down. Mine came with Williams firesights on it (not the durasights), a nice surprise. I prefer the wolf to the other models for the light weight and compact size as I am hiking long distances in dense cover carrying it. Accuracy (using scope) is unbelievable, better than most centerfire rifles, no joke. Throw in the fact that this one has a nitride barrel with lifetime no rust (pitting) guarantee and this is simply an amazing deal. Buds shipped it quickly and it arrived in perfect condition.

The gun was delivered and packaged well with no damage to CVA box. Upon first review the muzzle loader is clean free of scratches and looks like it's well machined. The bore was clean and action worked perfectly. I purchased the model number PR2115N which is the camo stock with Nitride SS barrel, 50 cal with fiber optic sites. I mounted my Leapold mounts and see thru sights and 3 x 9 scope. This barrel is SS with the Nitide salt bath treatment. My guess 416 SS. The barrels I inspected with a magnet at the local gun store were CARBON STEEL with nitride treatment. I'm excited and can't wait to shoot it once my range opens up at COVID-19 leaves us. Purchased 295 copper Powerbelts and should be a good knock down bullet.

The rifle is very well built, nitride finish is very tough. Love the fiber-optic sights. The only negative is that front sight was not screwed in and was lose in the package along with the screw. I guess it was not torqued properly. I contacted BPI Outdors (they own CVA brand now) and they are sending me replacement sight, screw and the tool (proper size allen wrench) to install it. Great customer service. And they have lifetime warranty as well.
