Traditions Firearms 1873 Frontier 5.5" 44mag Revolver

Great gun. Fires every time. Looks good. I carry it hunting in case of bears in a shoulder rig. What’s not to like?

Overall this is a good gun. The reason for only 4 stars is because after i figured out how the gun worked with taking the cylinder out and in, i shot it and the trigger cut my finger do to the fact that its razor sharp on the bottom. It kicks a lot and some of the edges are a little rough, but it is a cheaper brand so you get what you pay for. Over all great gun!!! i would definatly recomend this to a freind

This is worth far more than I paid for it. No complaints,problems or issues,just a LOTTA GUN for NOT alotta money.

After looking for a 1873 SAA chambered for .44 Mag for years I found the Traditions in the 5.5" barrel. I saw that it was an import and I didn't expect much for fit and finish but at the price a functional six shooter was all I wanted. Boy was I surprised when I opened the box. I was first struck by the beautiful case hardened frame, then the deep rich blueing on the barrel and cylinder. Upon close examination the fit of the wood stock to the frame and brass trigger guard were perfect. The highly polished and blued back strap is as smooth as glass with the stock. The functioning of this revolver is just as smooth and flawless as the finish. At the range this pistol is great at 25 yds all my rounds were in a 7inch spread plenty good enough for me to carry hunting this fall. The next firearm I buy will be a Traditions 1873 SAA chambered in .22lr/.22mag from Buds!!!!
