Paid for the firearm on a Thursday night, it shipped on Monday, and I received it at my FFL on Wednesday afternoon. Have purchased about 20 firearms from Bud’s and never had a single issue with the firearms or Bud’s procedures. Needless to say, I purchase my firearms exclusively from Bud’s. Have used their layaway numerous times with no issues. Although they now add a fee if you are not a Team Bud’s member, to me it is still a good deal. Now to the weapon. I like single action revolvers, but not enough to put out $1800 for a Colt. I couldn’t decide on 45 Colt or 357 mag, Brass or steel trigger guard and back strap, or 5.5 in or 4.75 in barrel. Therefore I bought one of each. Two firearms for less than the price of one Colt SAA. This is an excellent option for someone wanting to have a piece of the old west without breaking the bank. The firearm is a beautiful,well made replica of the 1873 SAA. It well balanced and accurate. I opted for the Cattleman II because if I would ever opt to carry it, I wanted to feel comfortable carrying 6 rounds not 5. The loss of a click, (three instead of four) was of no consequence to me. There is no need for the 1st click, which I found during my research, was a safety position to carry 6 rounds. However, this proved to be unsafe as well and basically a useless position. If one just has to have the four clicks, then the original Cattleman imported by Stoeger, Taylor’s or Cimarron is an option. In my opinion, if you are in the market for a single action revolver in the Colt mold, then this is an affordable, accurate,beautiful, and dependable option. What more can one ask for in a weapon?

This revolver is so fun to shoot. I have shot over 1000 rounds from the gun without any issues. Factory and cowboy reloads. Love the finish on the revolver and hasn’t lost any of these qualities over the year i have owed the gun. Don’t think twice about purchasing this quality single action revolver.

When I ordered the gun I thought I was ordering the gun with the brass trigger guard as the one pictured above. When I received the gun it did not have the brass trigger guard. Nonetheless, I love gun I received and can highly recommend it. Just be careful when you order to make sure if you are ordering the one with the brass trigger guard, do not go by the picture.
