Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan Unfluted 454 Casull Revolver - 2.5" Barrel, 6 Rounds

When I purchased my Model #5307 Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan .454 Casull it was listed as a 5 shot double action revolver. This turned out to be incorrect. The Model 5307 designation indicates that it comes with a Ruger nylon chest holster. otherwise is is the same as the Model 5301 with a 6 round cylinder and a black front sight. The gun is very well balanced and appropriately heavy for this powerful round. Recoil is therefore stout but manageable. The ability to also handle milder .45 Long Colt ammo was the decision maker for me in choosing this Model. The cylinder has no play and the trigger is very smooth in both single and double action. I would highly recommend the Ruger Alaskan to anyone looking for backwoods protection.
