I bought this to clean my M&P 15-22. The rod is a larger diameter than .22 cal. Fortunately the barrel scored the aluminum rod and not the other way around. I could fee the rod catch on the rifling and would only push forward if rotated. Could have damaged the gun.

Great value here, needed to buy oil and for a few extra bucks bought this entire kit instead.

Really awesome basic rifle cleaning kit, especially for the price. You definitely can't go wrong with this one. The cleaning products alone in this kit are worth it.

This is not what I ordered. I ordered the "Clamshell" cleaning kits, but received two kits in the orange plastic holders with the clear plastic cover. Disappointing to say the least.
