I really like CCI ammunition, but “subsonic & quiet “ ammunition doesn’t work well in my Walther P22Q. Not enough power to cycle the pistol.

I bought this to use with a Ruger 10/22 with an AWC integrally suppressed barrel to thin out raccoons that are eating all my deer feeder corn. I sighted the rifle in at 100 yards and groups averaged between 1.5" to 2.0", which is not bad as I am using an Eotech holosight with a 3X magnifier. I'm sure they would be more accurate out of my Ruger 77/22 with integral Gemtech suppressed barrel, however I thought I would need quick follow-up shots. Hunted yesterday evening using PVS14 NV and 5 out of 5 raccoons were DRT. It is so quiet that they just kept coming back to the feeder. Love this ammo!

Bottom Line Up Front: These are quick and lethal for Prarie Dogs out to 200 yards (believe it not).
If I could post a video, I would. I bought a few boxes of these rounds from another retailer (all they had in stock) and loved the rounds so much, I bought 30 boxes from Buds at a slightly lower cost (before shipping)... I shoot several suppressed .22 rifles and have various suppressors on them and I get the same quite performance with these rounds regardless of which gun I use. The speed is high enough to reliably hit prarie-dog size targets at the center of mass out to 150 yards very easily (I ranged it with my leupold range finder)... When I hit a rock or other hard object out beyond 100 yards, I get a very audible ricochet sound that indicates just how much speed and power these little hummers have at distance. Furthest confirmed shot landed in low wind was 243 yards (a lot of hold-over, about 22-23"). That said, don't let the subsonic deter you from getting these - plenty of power to wallop small game ethically inside 150 yards and it gets there with plenty of power - all while extremely quiet. One last note - I shot other subsonic rounds and hit prairie dogs in the same fields at the same ranges and the vermin would have enough energy to scurry 20-30 feet and slip down their holes leaving a blood trail... I'm sure they died in the holes, but I didn't get to see them and they did suffer a little. With these segmenting rounds, they either flopped right where I hit them, or they made it 1-2 feet, never more than 3 feet so the impact and retention of energy was very apparent with the segmented round - highly recommend.

These offer amazing perormance - and they function in a 10/22 - though they are very much quieter in my Kimber of Oregon bolt action rifles. Absolutly deadly on coyotes and superbly accurate - so give it a try - you won't be sorry you did.

No doubt this is the best subsonic hunting round I’ve found. It has the most energy and expansion of any round out there without the crack some rounds make in cold weather.. Buds had them delivered super fast as always.

I hunt rabbits quite a bit and have used about every 22lr round out there. And these are by far my favorite to use. Very accurate out of 10/22. I've used the hyper velocity segmented rounds, they definitely pack a bit more of punch. But if you're like me and hate missing a shot... Go with the these

If you are like me and really enjoy "safely" plinking then this is the ammo for you. I have well over 500 rounds through my M&P 15/22 and my Ruger based PS90 with not a SINGLE failure to speak of. I will soon try this ammo in a few .22 LR pistols report back.

although the specs say 100 Rounds Per Box it's 50 like the headline says.
