For perspective on review, I am a non-professional petite 50-something female & my favorite pistol is a full size 5" 1911 45acp. (John Moses Browning, hallowed by thy name)
I love this Sig Sauer P226 & so does my husband (USMC & Law Enf) . We use it for range/target/recreational shooting. It was very accurate right out of the box, my groupings are as tight as I expect from my level of shooting & so are my husband's groupings. It eats everything we have fed it, flawless cycling. The travel on the trigger takes some getting used to when compared to a 1911, but once the travel is taken up the hinged trigger is pretty crisp. It takes some muscle to rack/lock the slide, but if a 50 year old woman can do it ... so can most people. It is a weighty substantial man's-man pistol, making the recoil is very manageable ... which is a great plus for the ladies. The 20 round mags are a plus because I don't have to stop and reload as often. Easy to strip and clean. I don't have a can for it, but the barrel is threaded & ready if I eventually get a suppressor. I would buy this pistol again & my husband is thinking of getting one of his own so that he doesn't have to share mine.

I must admit I didn’t think I was a Sig Pistol Guy. This thing started something in me. One of the other reviews hit the nail on the head. I officially have a Signess!! :) This thing is a tack driver. It fits perfectly in most hands. The controls are all in the right places. The trigger is phenomenal!! The HK has left the nightstand. Mr Sig sleeps there now, well most of the time..;)

The Sig P226 TAC-Ops is without doubt one the best combat pistols available. It is now my primary handgun to protect all that I am and have. Thank you Sig Sauer and thank you Buds for making it available at such a reasonable price. David

This one BAD A.. pistol. I am fortunate to be able to own both the P226 tacops, and the p227 tacops. Excellent quality, accurate shooter. Not a single issue with these HIGH QUALITY Sigs . If you can afford to take the plunge, go for it! These are lifetime keeper firearms.

Love, love, love this Sig. This weapon was dripping oil when I lifted it out of the box, no problem. Stripped, cleaned and ran to the range, WOW! LOVE THE TRIGGER! Once I got use to the trigger reset it was like nothing else I have ever shot (28 years LE.) Then I married it to a Yankee hills suppressor and it functioned flawless with Speer gold dot. Wish I could have ordered this weapon in .45 but its cost prohibitive to shoot in that caliber and I don't have the ability to shoot it quietly in .45 so I choose the 9mm platform for economics. This gun is expensive but I saved close to $200.00 ordering it from Buds and using every option they had for discounts. I recommend this weapon if you want a superior Sig with all the bells and whistles.

My first Sig and I've got a serious problem now.....I believe it's referred to as "Signess"! This is by far the best pistol I've ever owned or fired. My wife typically doesn't like 9mm but loves the way this Sig feels in her hands and she's been shooting it very very well at the range. Can't wait to purchase another/many many more Sig's, great guns and this Tacops is among the elite of the elite!
