Great gun for the price. I shot 300 rounds of mixed fmj ammo with zero malfunctions. The sight were dead on at 25 yards and I would highly recommend this gun to anyone looking for a quality pistol that shoots right out of the box. Outstanding shipping and customer service from buds as always.

Nice enough firearm but nothing special. Suffered the same maladies as many 9 mm 1911s in that it wouldn't reliably feed hollow-point ammo after break-in. I noticed that many of the parts seemed to be slightly oversized. Too tight. Some see that as a benefit. Rear sight, adjustable for elevation only, was off significantly to the left. I bent a large brass punch trying to move it after removing set screw. My massive, name-brand sight pusher strained mightily but finally moved the sight. Overall, this Colt did not meet my competition-oriented needs despite its name. Sold it. Still, a perfectly good firearm if you are a fan of the brand and are willing to work around these small issues.

I traded with Gurney for the purchase of this weapon. I received what I asked for my trade and would recommend you give a trade with Gurney a shot. The pistol itself is a thing of beauty. The finish is excellent, I love stainless steel. After cleaning and reading the operating manual, I put 450 rounds through it and found the gun to be a sweet shooter. The trigger pull is less than that of a Sig 226 and quick crisp. I did have a problem with the oem Colt mags not locking the side to the rear after expending my last round, but it seemed to right itself after a couple of hundred rounds and started locking back and staying. I bought some Mec-Gar mags as extras and they performed flawlessly. If you're a Colt fan you will appreciate owning this pistol.

First Colt I have ever owned, but worth the wait to finally own a Colt. Like most pistols it printed low at 10 yards for me. Easy fix with adjustable sights and screwdriver, now hits to center of aim. Trigger is ok for an 80 series 1911 but not up to the trigger on my Remington R1, and both are 80 series. For the price range this is a pretty good value. Have to admit I just wanted a 9mm 1911 and this model came up in a search. Back in the 70's I wanted a Colt Gold Cup but had limited funds. This isn't a Gold Cup but not sure if the new Gold Cup's are equal to the ones in the 70's.. Overall quite satisfied with this purchase, it is a Colt, it is a 1911 and so far functioned perfectly. Would recommend to my friends.

The most bang for your buck in a 9mm 1911. It's tight, clean and way better looking than the photo implies. Not one hiccup through first 300. Very happy with this Colt.

Wanted a new Colt in 9mm for a while. Saw it for sale on another on line site but checked Buds first before I I bought it. Buds was 30 dollars cheaper. Got it fast too. Haven't got to shoot it yet but I can't wait. Thanks for another great deal and fast ship.
