These Heritage Cowboy revolvers are a hoot to shoot! Especially in 22WMR. It takes some practice to become proficient with the open sights, which has made me a better shooter. I also enjoy the Zen like rhythm of loading/cocking/aiming/firing/emptying/reloading a single action revolver. I prefer the popular Birdshead grip; they are hard to find in stock, but It's easy to go to the Heritage website and order the replacement Birdshead backstrap and grips. The safety doesn't bother me. The only negative is that the bluing/finish is marginal and can wear off quickly. But what do you expect for a $150 - $200 dollar gun? Go buy a Bluing pen and keep on shooting!

Nice gun love the grip great finish only improvement would be the cowboys sites are hard to get accurate groups prefer a adjustable rear sight.

A very good looking firearm. If you are not a picky purist and don't mind seeing the 'safety' on the firearm and you don't mind that the grips are not a perfect fit to the frame then you will like the look of this gun. I don't mind the safety at all and the grips are just fine by me. I have not shot this one yet but I have the same looking gun in the 4.75 barrel and that one works perfect in the 22LR & the 22 magnum. I keep that one loaded with the 22 magnum as a home defense firearm just in case. Along with my 9mm Walther CCP.
With the virus thing going on and gun sales through the roof shipping took 2 weeks but I understand and Buds came through for me again. in short buy the gun. Its worth it.
