The M70A (Serbian manufactured) pistol should meet your expectations (i. e. if you purchase a mid- to low-quality, inexpensive pistol, that was intended solely as somewhat of a novelty weapon\'s purchase to shoot infrequently). It is crudely manufactured, but functions well -- surprisingly. The machining could have been accomplished by a small group of primates in a metal shop; however, it does fire every time. The magazine doesn\'t fit firmly in the well and requires some manipulation to remove. The sights are rudimentary but are accurate once you\'ve shot the weapon a few times - not much different than a Colt Model 1873 SAA. I have access to a group of firearms techs who tuned the action slightly and removed some of the burrs (which are numerous), which rendered the pistol more functional. I am not criticizing this weapon for my own entertainment - I purchased it for slightly over $200.00, knowing (presuming) the level of quality/function. I wasn\'t disappointed. I would not carry this weapon to protect myself while trekking in the wild or rely on it for any other form of self-preservation....but I\'d recommended buying one if you can accept the above review.

Nice gun. Shoots well, good grouping on 50 ft. even with the basic original sites. Also nostalgic...

A friend bought one of these and showed me, so I bought one too. The price was very good.
They look cool, they work fine, sights are decent and the trigger pull is stout, but manageable. They are fairly accurate out to 25 yards, but better suited for close combat.
It was so nice to find these chambered for \"our\" American 9mm, keeping the cost way down, when feeding them.

Just purchased my second M70A. I love it! prepare to spend 2-3 hours with fine sand paper, do a good cleaning and you will be good to go. Excellent product.

Very nice hand gun! Shoots well! requires some work - i.e. polishing rails, magazines, etc. Overall I like it a lot. Thank you, Buds!

Right out of the box. POS ! After ten or so rounds the rear sight fell off. Try looking for that in the grass. Sold that sucker to a locale gunsmith . This gun was manufactured by the people that made the Yugo. Yep Serbia. If you feel you must buy a gun from the former Yugoslavia , get a Springfield made in Croatia.

The gun is good I enjoy shooting it. But it does have a few issues. Slide needs to stay well lubes. Magazine do not slide in or out as smooth as I would like.

I purchased both this pistol the M70A and its little brother the M88A about 2 years ago and really enjoy both of them. I've probably shot around 1000 rounds between the two of them and they both run great. The M70A chambered in 9mm is a great choice for anyone who want's the look and feel of a Tokarev without the hassle of finding 7.62x25 ammo. The gun does however have its hang-ups, which is present in both the M70A and M88A. The sights are fairly basic making them a bit difficult to use, the trigger pull is a bit stiff and the grips aren't very comfortable in large hands, but for $240 (the price I payed) I think it was a great deal.

Purchased Spring of 2015 on sale for $200. Great pistol for the money. Out of the box after cleaning had 6 malfunctions of various types in 50 rounds. Sanded and polished the feed ramp and rails, pistol runs 100% now. Needs a break in. Rough machining on the internals, exterior is beautiful. Interesting design. Extra mags are almost nonexistent. Good project pistol for amateur gun smithing. Has a feel and point ability that is very 1911ish. This is no HK or Sig but in its price range a ton of fun. Thanks Buds.

Solid pistol, new production and priced well. Cannot beat an all steel 9mm for less than $250. Only comes with one mag and no holster like you might see with the surplus versions. One bit of detail I think is rather tacky is the \"Made In Serbia\" stamp on the extractor side of the pistol and painted white. Not necessary, will look to ride this pistol of at least the white paint. For that I only can give the pistol 4 stars.
