The Walther PPK/S 22 blends the iconic PPK design with the fun and economy of the 22 long rifle. It is identical to its legendary PPK brother (which is chambered in 380 ACP), however you can shoot the 22 rimfire for pennies a round and recoil is nominal. The German-made PPK/S is a double-action semi-auto with a 3.35-inch barrel, a 10+1 capacity, fixed sights, and a nickel finish with black polymer grips. It has the typically-heavy (17+ pound) Walther D/A trigger, however S/A is light & crisp. Standard features include a safety/decocker, windage-adjustable rear sights, and a suppressor-ready barrel threaded 1/2x28 . The PPK/S 22 makes an ideal first firearm for a young shooter, or just a fun plinker to add to your own collection.

Picked up this item from my FFL right as he was closing, as soon as I took it home I took the magazine out and pulled the slide back, only to hear the internals from the slide fall out of the magwell and onto the floor. Spent hours trying to find videos or schematics to put it back together, since customer support hasn't been any help. Sent multiple emails without response. Called customer support via phone, they asked me to send photos (which I did), and then went silent.

This was purchased brand new, and literally fell apart the first time I pulled the slide back.

The pistol arrived I cleaned it and got it ready for the range. Well, I managed to get about 30 rounds through it, it wouldn't always eject the spent round. I only had to disassemble the pistol 4 times to pull out the spent round. And last but not least the safety/decocking lever broke. The pistol is off for warranty work. If the pistol works correctly after warranty work I'll say some thing positive.

Very pretty firearm , shoots well in single action but the double action trigger pull is piss poor - very difficult for such a tiny gun .... Also , it%u2019s a finicky eater , it hates the cheap stuff but does well with CCI Stingers ... honestly , I%u2019d trade it for a P22 or an old Ruger 22 target pistol in a heartbeat - now I know why it was so cheap ... the walther P22 I had was superior in every way except looks , don%u2019t waste your money on it unless you just want to play 007 .... ugh

It looks great but when it comes to use sadly there's an issue with casing escaping the chamber on about 50% of shots so the slide has to be manually racked to help it. It's completely random. Tried 3 different ammo from 19-40 grain and the issue persisted. Read it's an issue with too strong recoil spring.. but did not expect ANY problems with such a legend of a gun especially right away when first used. I am disappointed.

I bought the Walther PPK/S 22 caliber for my collection because it looks like a real gun should look - not like the square Dick Tracy models made out of composites or plastics. I think this is the gun James Bond 007 uses in that series of movies. This is a handsome well made all metal semi-automatic pistol that just feels good if your hands are small to medium size. Not sure if someone with large hands would like this gun as it is fairly small. Looks are not everything however and the gun does have its faults that some of the other reviewers mentioned. It requires a little extra force to operate the slide, and you might as well forget using double action mode because of the large amount of force required to pull the trigger. When I tried it I couldn't even hit the target at 25 feet. It has reasonable accuracy when used in single action although the hammer is a little hard to pull back for that first shot. But after all a 22 caliber is just for plinking and the PPK/S is OK for that, and since it is quality made it should outlast me and I have a nice looking gun for my collection.

Walther PPK/s 22lr. I just shot my first 50 rounds. I love the way it looks its simply beautiful like a work of art, it feels great in your hand. shooting at a distance of 30 ft I managed to keep an 8" cluster, My skills do need improving. This gun is perfect in every way EXCEPT the Double action trigger pull is a heavy 17 # pull. I never ever strained so much to cock the hammer via trigger. I wrote Walther Arms a letter suggesting a recall on this pistol. Sometimes I have to use two fingers just to shot the 1st round. I am currently doing finger excerises to strengthen my trigger finger. I still love the gun because of beauty and it is a true classic for a lifetime.

Although this is a very nice little gun and a welcome change from another polymer frame pistol - I can’t give it a 5 star. First, pay very close attention to the item description and note the 17 pound trigger pull in the hammer down, double action mode. It takes quite a lot of hand strength to fire. Would be very difficult for many women and young shooters. Secondly, only one magazine is included and that magazine has no load assist button. But, the magazine spring is user friendly and easy on the fingers to load. The frame and slide seem to be made of an aluminum alloy. My guess is the frame is cast. And after I ordered mine I read the gun isn’t even made by Walther. It’s made by some other German company - I think it might have been Umarex. But, my biggest disappointment was assembly after field stripping. I always disassemble, clean and lube every gun I buy before shooting it. But, I finally gave up after about 30 minutes of trying to reassemble this gun. The slide would go back on but it would not move forward. What should have been a very easy assembly turned into a nightmare. Something was blocking the slide but I couldn’t see what. So, I took to the Internet and found that other people had reported the same problem. I finally found one guy who said when this happens try slamming the butt of the gun down on your workbench. I tried that - something went “click” inside, the slide went right on and cycled perfectly. Don’t know if the magazine release mechanism was stuck or what but it was a very aggravating experience. The same thing happened after test firing - but at least I knew what to do about it. First shooting went very well. No FTF or FTE. It loves the 22LRs that I shoot almost exclusively - bulk Remington Goldens.

Neat little gun. Don\'t think that it matches the quality of ppk/s in .380 but it is surely adequate. Works fine and accurate too. Forget about adjusting sights or changing front sight. With a bbl length just over 3\", this this is a point and shoot gun. Service from Bud\'s is excellent.

good service from bud's as usual. this is a very nice looking gun and i purchased it for its history and not its performance. it does not match well with the ruger mark iii and the other ruger 22 semi autos. i love the magazine. it is very easy to feed the ammo in and is well made. downside is you only get the one with the gun. the sights are awful. if it had better sights, i believe you could hit the target better. a few failures to eject, but nothing too bad. just use it as a plinker and nothing to rely on for self defense. the gun is about what i expected. i knew it would not compare to my ruger or my cz kadet adapter kit for 22lr. i believe this would be a good starter pistol for a youngster or a novice. very easy to disassemble and clean and reassemble. if you are looking for the best shooting semiauto 22lr, this is not the gun for you. if you want to add this to your collection and realize the drawbacks of the gun, i would recommend it for that and to train novices. i knew what to expect and i am satisified with my purchase. i only wanted this walther ppk in the 22lr format. the walther 380 has a lot of bad reviews and i don't care for that caliber anyhow. the 380 is not made in germany any longer, whereas the 22lr is still made in germany. i will repeat that this ppk/s 22lr in nickle finish is a very handsome gun. i do not regret my purchase.

Lebron - the frame is made of stainless steel, then nickle plated. The 'black synthetic' refers to the grips/grip material. This pistol has what is widely recognized as the best 'out-of-the-box' trigger of any .22 pistol made.
