This things a fun, but brutal, gun to shoot. I don't know about accuracy b/c I haven't taken it to the range yet. I'm sure it is probably more a matter of me learning how to control this beast, than what it is truly capable of. But I pity the fool who wants to play home invasion and talk to double 00 buck or rifled slug. If anybody can recommend a handle adapter, would be appreciated.

Love this gun. I've had it about ten years now. It's my bedside HD gun. Firing is very manageable (with practice) and accurate enough. I replaced the factory grip with a fold over stock, added a rail and have a scope I can attach. Works well, and slugs are accurate at 100yds. This isn't my primary hunting gun, but it could do the job, if it was all I had. Good for skeet and Nice shotgun

It was a tough choice between this model and the Mossberg 500 with 18.5" barrel. In the end I went with this one due to the increased capacity. The factory pistol grip left something to be desired, and after swapping it out for a bunch of aftermarket pistol grips I ended up sticking with the Hogue Tamer and replaced the factory stock forend with a Tac Star pistol grip forend which helps maintain control and manage recoil. I also have another Mossberg 500 that I kept the traditional pump forend on and replaced the factory pistol grip with the Shockwave birdshead raptor grip, which is great on the wrist. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped so both of mine have accessory rails. I'd like to mention that since this Mossberg 500 Cruiser with 20" barrel comes straight from the factory as a pistol-grip only firearm, it technically is not a "shotgun," as shotguns are designed to be fired from the shoulder. Therefore it is my understanding that any pistol-grip shotgun that has never had and form of shoulder stock attached to it, is technically not a "shotgun" and is classified as an "other weapon" (not to be confused with Any Other Weapon/AOW which is something entirely different). That being said, any factory-made pistol-grip-only Mossberg 500, which has never had a stock on it, can be made into the "Mossberg Shockwave" simply by replacing the original pistol grip with a Shockwave raptor grip, and replacing the original barrel/magazine tube with the 14" barrel and magazine tube (I am not a lawyer and this is not legal in CA due to SBS laws, so do not take this in any way as legal advice.) Bottom line: there are so many cool things you can do to a Mossberg 500, and they are so much fun to shoot, that there really is no reason not to get one.

First order through Bud's, very impressed. Very nice shotgun for the money. The grips that come with it are a little brittle for my taste, so I will probably look to replace them.

I already have one of these in a different configuration and finish (Parkerized?). I was looking for that finish and couldn't find it, so accepted a blued finish. As soon as the funding cleared the gun FLEW to my FFL and was in great shape when I opened the box. Was happy to see a nice blued finish and some other action parts that were metal instead of composite or whatever. All in all a nice looking gun and it operates flawlessly.
Stuck 'till Christmas day to shoot it, but if it's anything like my other one the Mossy 500 is a simple, hard working machine.
Nice price, nice job Bud's.

First off, good shotgun, I would rate it 4 stars with my current Hogue furniture I put on it (found out the expensive way, a pistol grip is impractical and the hard plastic fore end doesn't offer great grip our comfort). Good service by Buds, as usual. If I had I had to do it over, I would have bought a Maverick 88 with 8 round capacity.
