A really fun gun to own. Great quality and have never had it jam on me.

First online order for me with Bud's and I am very pleased. Price point was awesome. With 3 mags, no way I could find it at a better price point.
Payment cleared my account on Wednesday and they shipped the following Tuesday. My FFL is on their preferred list, so transfer was a piece of cake. They told me that do a lot of business with Bud's and all report being very happy.
Ruger 10-22 Tacstar is functioning really well regardless of ammo quality. Put about 200 rounds through with no misfires. Adjustable butt stock is great because I need the extra length. It also holds the two extra mags very securely and they recessed nicely so you don't even know they are there.
I'm already looking to Bud's for my next purchase.

The Tacstar stock has a good cheek weld for a scope but not so much for the iron sights. I WAS happy to find that the 3 mags included were in fact factory Ruger 10 rd and not some aftermarket junk. Great price at 220.00 and free shipping. Buds shipped it fast.

The Bad: STOCK DOES NOT FOLD!/No plug to cap the end of butt stock

The Good: Stock is adjustable/collapsible, Sling swivel studs are already attached, Its a 50th Anniversary (2014), TALO exclusive, ships w/three magazines-load 1 and store 2in the side of the stock, you can store items inside pistol grip, and you have a choice of with/without rail under the for end if you want to attach accessories. If you decide to add a target/bull barrel the stock will accommodate up to a .920 barrel. Item appears sturdy/and well constructed.

Functions perfectly! After mounting a 2-7 power scope I am able to easily put dime size groups at 50 yards - no FTF/FTE from this 10/22, as expected. I purchased this setup for the added functionality as a "survival" type rival in that it has the extra two 10 round magazines in the buttstock. That storage alone is a great feature and keeps many extra rounds on hand at all times without adding too much weight.

I love this style stock on this Ruger.I can add a lot of goodies to it.And the price was $214.The other Tac Star camo colored Rugers are $120 more.I like the basic black stock,it's as good of a color as any.The rifle itselfruns good,no problems.I do like tube fed rifles better but this came with 3 magazines so I can't complain.

Never a problem dealing with buds and their shipping etc. Buds always gets a 5 Star rating in my book, but Ruger gets a 1 star with me on this one. I received it on Thursday 9/17/15, and took it out to the range on Saturday 9/19/15, and shipped out to Ruger on Monday 9/21 for service. It jammed using all three magazines and a Ruger 25 round magazine bought at local shop with different ammo. I purchased this due to the RUGER name, comfort, style, feel, collapsible stock, as well as the super price at Buds. Also chose it because i have a SR22 pistol that has shot every 22lr bullet regardless of brand without any issues. so thinking same would hold true with their rifles, i made this purchase. Besides the fact I have to pack it up, find, then drive to local fedex store to ship directly back to Ruger and wait minimum two weeks turn around time.

The Ruger 10/22 appears to have become the industry standard for 22 semi-auto rifles. The Tacstar stock makes it even more functional with adjustable length stock, dual backup magazine storage in the stock, a fore-grip picatinny rail, and available pistol grip extension with height adjustment. I admit I initially thought the fore-grip picatinny rail had been left out of the package. There appeared to be a cover matching the fore-grip serrations installed as delivered. I finally realized the cover was reversible, with the picatinny section on the opposite side.
The rifle performed flawlessly out of the box. My only minor comment is the trigger was initially very stiff and heavy. A little polishing and lube on the sear and hammer fixed it right up. The 10/22 has a very easy trigger group to work on. The factory parts are actually quite good with a bit of attention. There are also tons of instructional internet videos and aftermarket trigger group kits/parts, if you so choose.
I was disappointed a camo version was not available at the time of this purchase. I will most definitely pick up a camo Tacstar stock for a new 10/22 build, as they now appear to be available.
