Not bad. I would recommend for a first time buyer because you're not putting out to much money to see if you like the AR platform. Good fit and finish for the most part. My gas key wasn't staked properly, not even close, but I can fix that. All in all I give it three out of five stars. Buds was fine but Damn you would think reviews were all about them versus the product.

I believe this is probably the best AR your going to get for less than $600. Mine got stolen out of my truck and I was extremely disappointed. NRA membership insurance paid me for it though, so if your not an NRA member you should be.

I did a lot of research before I settled on this rifle. It is a great entry-level AR that is perfect for a first time buyer. Out of the box it was easy to quickly learn how to operate the rifle. If you are not familiar with the basics, just check you tube for the hundreds of reviews available. I would strongly recommend this rifle. I added a Bushnell red dot from amazon that was $30.00 after a $40.00 rebate. Added a sling and I was ready to go. If you are interested in adding more than optics, you may want to look at this model with the options already added on.

AR-15 used 223 FMJ 55gr rounds. did not stutter, jam or miss feed. Operated perfectly through more than 200 rounds. Even after it got hot the rifle performed well. Sights did not need any adjustment at all. Great rifle and will be looking to buy more of these.

Great gun at a great price! Mine came with some scratches from the factory, but it is going to get beat up anyway, so I am not going to complain. Just something to be aware of if you are picky. I have several hundred rounds through mine and have not had one single issue. The gun is totally reliable and accurate. All I added was a cheap nylon shoulder strap and I am good to go. Bud's was great as always.

I got this rifle out to the range and put a combat load (210 rounds) of 62 grain 5.56 ammo (made by FN) through it. Even though it has a 1/9 twist (best suited for 55 grain rounds), I was able to make inch and a half groups at 25 yards, standing with my elbow resting on the bench. I used the tip of a round to adjust the front sight post and had it zeroed in minutes. Then I stepped it out to 50 yards and got about a fist sized group, followed by a basketball sized group at 100 yards. I was using iron sights, so I'm sure my vision (not the rifle) was the real limitation. The rifle itself functioned flawlessly. Fit and finish are awesome. I was genuinely surprised how great this rifle looked when I took it out of the box. I would recommend cleaning it as soon as you get it, because the moving parts are all a bit sticky out of the box. Overall I've very pleased by this rifle, and I regret not buying it sooner.

    Jeff, The bayonet lug is on the bottom of the sight. Bibod on bayonet lug will greatly hinder accuracy because it is connected to barrel/gas port. Better to put a rail section on bottom of forend and use rail mounted bipod.
