Beautiful, Reliable, Accurate, but a Pain in the Ass to put back together after cleaning. Had to take it to an Armorer to get the thing back together. I no longer take it down completely to clean, because of such difficulty. I bought a new pistol with has just a quick button for take down and it is just as good as this one. I keep the 22/45 in my tackle box on my boat and oil it up every once in a while. Tell Engineering of all gun manufacturers to: K.I.S.S. Keep it Simple Stupid. I give it only 4 stars, because it cost me money to get it back together.

Very accurate and fun to shoot pistol. I love to take it to the range. You do get the occasional misfeed, but I believe that occurs with most all 22's. Ordering from Bud's and delivery to my FFL was extremely easy. Only negative, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the gun is a little tricky to disassemble for cleaning. But, with practice, it gets easier.

My Ruger Mark IV .22 LR target pistol is the most pleasurable model of the three I’ve bought since 1976. The push button takedown feature is such a quick, easy improvement over the old models. Kudos to the Ruger engineer/designer that is responsible for that. Maintenance is breeze, now. Fast. The heavy, 5.5” bull barrel w/suppressor threads and adjustable rear sight make it an accurate, steady, stable shooter. My Mark IV is accurate out to 25 yards distance with my favorite ammo, CCI Mini Mag 40 grain plated .22LR. I prefer the Ruger Mark IV Target 22/45 pistol above all others I’ve tried. Worth the money. Would recommend this model without hesitation.

Cycles everything I've fed it. Accurate. Deduct 2 stars for major PIA to disassemble. Disassemble in the field? Forget about it. Machining of serrations on the slide have VERY sharp edges. Sliced my thumb numerous times before I discovered where the cuts came from. Would not purchase again.

This is a great target pistol to take to the range. It has no recoil, it’s well balanced and fun to shoot. I use mine as a warm up and the ammo is cheap too. Adjustable rear site. Top of barrel is threaded for a mini rail for an optic.
