The rifle came in in a timely manner. It is a good looking firearm. Ive not had time to zero it yet. But I expect nothing but the best from Henry. Buds guns did a great job get it to me. I will be buying from Buds again.

Great little rifle and looks like a Million $'s. Its back in the shop because the fore stock rattled and the butt stock had some play. Put about 150 rounds thru it and am happy with the exception of the items mentioned. I think I like the Marlins tapered barrel a little better but that's just personal preference. I'm not going to be super picky and rate it with max stars

This is just an absolutely beautiful rifle. 100% American made at Henry's Rice Lake, Wisconsin factory. The walnut stock and case colored receiver are perfect, as is the rest of the fit and finish. The action is the smoothest I've ever had on any lever gun, it's buttery smooth. It's a little barrel heavy due to the octagon barrel, but recoil is more than manageable. I started out wearing a recoil pad, but quickly took it off as it was unnecessary. It was a pleasure to shoot. I was shooting 1"-1 1/2" groups at 25 yards with the iron sights and Federal & Winchester 240 grain ammo. It's obvious that my old eyes are not going to be able to make the most out of the accuracy potential of this rifle with the iron sights, so I'm going to put a Leupold 2X7 on it. I only have 2 minor complaints: First, out of the box the rifle was grouping almost 5" right at 25 yards. I'm sure the semi-buckhorn sight can be drifted, but I was surprised it was that far off coming from the factory. Second, it would not feed Buffalo Bore ammo. While it would feed the BB into the magazine tube (barely), it wouldn't chamber it, and I had a heck of a jam. I believe the BB case is too long. Even so, if I could, I'd give this rifle 6 stars. It's definitely a keeper, and an instant family heirloom. This is my first Henry, but definitely not my last.
