Buds gun shop had the best price I could find on this rifle. Was shipped out the next day. I received the rifle in excellent condition. The rifle is a great gun. I put 150 rounds thru it on my first outing and it functioned flawless. This rifle is a pleasure to shoot. Thank you for a great experience !

Got this Replacement Rifle as the 1-st was Damaged in Shipping.
But Buds took great care of me. I must say that the Color Cased Color is a Work of Art.
And what's not to Love about the .45 Colt Cartridge but the Price but that isn't Buds fault.
As I used to Reload that Cartridge Mighty Hot within Reason.
But No get this Henry as it is a mighty fine smooth carbine to go along with my Ruger Redhawk 45 Colt / 45 acp.

I have only positive things to write about Buds Gun Shop and Henry rifles - especially this color case hardened carbine in 45 Colt. It is my second Henry rifle and the action on this rifle is just as smooth as my brass Henry Big Boy in .357 magnum. The wood is gorgeous and the checkering is very well done. I cleaned it and immediately took it to the range and put 140 rounds of mixed ammo through it. It operated flawlessly with all types of ammo. Excellent grouping at 50 yards.The color case hardening is well done and more subdued than expected, but I actually prefer it this way. I did remove the buckhorn sight and replaced it with a Skinner barrel mounted peep sight for my aging eyes. I have several lever action rifles and don't mind the magazine tube feeding at all. I have both types and honestly have no preference as to how a lever action is loaded. Buds was great as usual.

This is a very nice addition to my collection of Henry rifles. I wanted a case color hardened one. The 45 Colt caliber is nice and I prefer carbine models for pistol calibers. The large loop lever is nice and the octagon barrel gives it that Henry look. The action is smooth, it shoots good, and fit and finish are up to the quality Henry is known for. Again Bud's Gun Shop service is good.

First, this rifle is beautiful. Fit & finish is flawless. The color case hardened finish is really set off by the superb walnut stock. It almost looks too pretty to shoot, yet its super masculine. It's light and points fast, a great brush gun. The bluing on the octagon barrel is a deep blue, almost black, and very shiny. So far I've only had one range session with it, but it was an impressive one. The rifle functioned flawlessly with several different types of ammo, including cowboy loads, Hornady Leverevolution and full power Buffalo Bore loads. The Hornady and Buffalo Bore shot 1" groups with iron sights at 50 yards, which is actually a lot better than I thought my old eyes capable of. I only had to drift the rear sight a little bit to put rounds in the 10 ring. The elevation was perfect. Recoil is negligible with the nicely done recoil pad, its a pleasure to shoot. The action is as smooth as silk, and I love the large loop. The trigger feels like it's had a custom trigger job out of the box. This rifle doesn't just look great, its a real shooter. I put about 100 rounds through it with no malfunctions whatsoever. This is my first Henry, but won't be my last. I'm about as impressed as impressed gets. I knew before I left the range that this gun is a keeper that I'll pass down to one of my sons when I'm gone. It truly is heirloom quality. Get one, you won't be sorry.
