This is without a doubt is the most accurate light weight rifle I’ve owned in 60 years nothing at all to hit a 8” gong at 800 yards.

I was looking for this rifle, and having no luck finding it.I was hunting in Colorado and found the rifle and ordered it online. The very next day my local gun shop called and said the gun had arrived. Less than 24 hrs from ordering to delivered was impressive. Thanks for the prompt service. I will do this again.

At this point I have shot 20 rounds of Magtech 140gr FMJBT through the rifle too 0 the scope at 100 yds. Still have to fine tune the scope but the rifle shot great, ate the Magtech with no problem. Saw on some reviews that people had to take material off the forearm to free float the barrel, mine had a perfect free float gap. Did have a little problem loading, in the shooting position with an unloaded mag. Dropped a round in the chamber and slide the bolt forward, it would catch then turn rifle on side and load fine, have to check and see what problem is. Otherwise I love the rifle and believe it will give me a lot of shooting enjoyment.
Working with Bud's is great, this is my 3rd firearm purchase though them over the years. Shipping was a little slower this time because of volume of sales Bud's has due to covad19 but my FFL recieved rifle on 8th day after order was placed. When I am in the market for a firearm I always look at Bud's first.

Buds shipping was lightning fast as usual. The rifle came in excellent fit and finish. No burs on any edges. No bolt slop, like some may have heard about on these rifles. No warped forend like you may have also heard about on these rifles. Just a well made rifle. Love the medium contour of the barrel and the fact that its threaded. I opted for the aics magazine version because I have heard people have issues cycling Rugers box magazines. I'm extremely pleased with this rifle so far and cant wait for deer season!

For a hunting rifle, this Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor will shoot with the best of them. I own four Ruger American rifles and each and every one is a shooter. In this rifle you'll get a smooth working bolt, sub-MOA accuracy, an adjustable trigger that can be tuned to a very light pull, free floated barrel, an included scope rail and as an added bonus it can use the excellent Magpul AICS mags. I don't think you can buy a better rifle for the price of a Ruger American. You won't win any awards for having the fanciest rifle, but you'll sure have a great shooting rifle at a great price and isn't that what counts?
Buds was fantastic, something I have come to expect from them.

I purchased this expecting the rifle to need some tuning after researching reviews of the Ruger American. Ruger has corrected many of the complaints from earlier models. The stock has been stiffened, but still has some flex. I opened the fore end and filled the stock on mine which seemed to help. The scope rail is now a true picatinny rail without the odd spacing found on earlier models. I polished the bolt although mine was much better than some had seen. Future plans include bedding the action and some polishing of the trigger along with a lighter spring. Yesterday was the first time I had a chance to shoot and only fired 12 rounds including my sight in shots. I finished the day with a three shot group at 100 yards that measured .33" with 140 grain Remington Core-Lokt. I am very pleased with this rifle, it has exceeded my exectations in every way and look forward to shooting it at distance

So far I am quite pleased with my Ruger American predator. It shoots very good. At 100 yards I shot a 1/4 " group. If I have one negative thing to say about is the stock has flex in the force end. But over all I would say for the money it's worth it.
