The Ruger Precision Rifle is purpose-built for long-range target work. Some of it's numerous features include:
- Cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly 1:8 steel barrel with 5R Rifling.
- In-line recoil path manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock.
- Patented multi-magazine interface functions interchangeably with AICS and M110/SR-25/DPMS/Magpul-style magazines (works with some M14 magazines).
- Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is externally adjustable, with a trigger pull range of 2.25 to 5 pounds.
- Ruger Precision MSR folding stock with QD sling attachment points, a bottom Picatinny rail and soft rubber recoil pad and adjustable LOP & comb height.
- A Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake to effectively reduce recoil while minimizing noise and blast to the sides of the shooter.
- 15" aluminum free-float handguard is black hard-coat anodized aluminum and features Magpul M-LOK slots on all four sides for improved scope clearance for long-range scopes and easy mounting of M-LOK-compatible rails and accessories.
- Ambidextrous manual safety for left- or right-handed lever manipulation.
- Three-lug bolt with 70° throw features dual cocking cams and a smooth-running, full diameter bolt body. Bolt body is nitrided for corrosion resistance, smooth operation and durability.
- Oversized bolt handle
- Includes two, 10-round Magpul® PMAG® magazines.

I have had this Ruger Precision 6.5mm Creedmoor for about a year now with 250 rounds shot through it and it has functioned flawlessly. This is without a doubt the best budget precision rifle on the market.

After months of research and reading all of the reviews I could find I decided to go with the 6.5 Creedmoor and the Ruger Precision Rifle for some long-range target shooting. Making that decision was the hard part. Deciding where to buy it was the easy part. I buy all my guns from Buds online. There prices are competitive, especially considering the fast free shipping. Their customer service is great, and checkout could not be any easier. After quickly receiving my Ruger Precision Rifle, I installed a decent scope on it and ran a couple of cleaning patches through it. I shot a few rounds of the Hornady 140 gr. ELD Match factory ammo through it to sight it in. Then I shot this 5-round group with it. Now I certainly do not proclaim to be no expert. I'm an old disabled Veterian. I am legally blind in my right "scope eye" so I use my left eye to see. I was using my left eye and shooting right-handed off a wobbly card table. With all things considered I could not be more pleased with how sweet this gun shoots. I know that this RPR can shoot even better if I was sandbagging it off a solid bench rest with some good hand loads it can only get better (if I do my part). I will say that this is a heavy gun which is not a bad thing if you are looking for accuracy. For long-distance shooting you will generally find that most people preferer a solid, heaver platform. Overall, I am very pleased with the whole buying process from Buds online and the Ruger Precision Rifle is definitely a rifle that I would highly recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about buying this gun. You will be hard pressed to find anything more accurate for the money. The picture attached is my very first 5 shot group at shot at 100 yards out of my first box of shells.

If you’re looking for a long range bolt action rifle, the Ruger Precision 6.5 Creedmoor is the rifle for you. All this thing needs is a high power scope, and that’s it. Trigger is great. The folding stock works absolutely flawless and it comes with a Magpul 7.62x51 mag (.308 mag).

This rifle is awesome! You will not be disappointed. Whether long range competition, hunting, or LE/Military, this is an excellent choice at an incredible price. The craftsmanship and machining are superb quality. While the bolt action is relatively rough at first, it does break in overtime, which is normal. I love the folding stock which cuts down on need for a lengthy case or tight transportation. Easily customizable with any AR style stock. The adjustable trigger pull (2.25-5 lbs) is a huge advantage so you can dial it in to your liking with the wrench conveniently stored in the bolt shroud. The cheek rest can be a bit tough to lock in place but I appreciate the ability to customize it to your preference and scope. You can also upgrade or easily swap out the barrel which is a nice touch. I'm pretty happy with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy another!

I ordered my RPR in June of 2022. Buds was awesome. I did my reviews on this gun and knew for a while that it was what I was looking for. YouTube w/Hancock 45 confirmed it. Now, I've ran about 300 rounds through it. I am purely satisfied with my purchase. I moved from Kentucky to Georgia and still Buds outshines the competition.

Great rifle. Perfect for someone who is just getting in to long distance shooting. Very customizable so upgrades/tweaks are easy. Once dialed in with it’s a very accurate rifle. Very happy with my purchase.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this rifle. I must say I am not disappointed at all. I shoot a 1/4 to 1/2 groups at 100 yards. The 6.5 creedmoor is an amazing round, with less recoil than 308. This was my first rifle for long range shooting, for the price, the caliber and the features - it is hands down the best way to start.
