Ruger SR1911 LW Officer 9mm 3.6 8+1 G10 - Stainless/Silver, 3.6" Barrel, 7+1 Rounds, Composite Grips, 3-Dot Sights

Ordering from Buds was no hassle and shipped to my FFL in a timely manner.
The pistol-First thing I noticed was the frame color. It has a bluish tone to it. At first I was not happy with the color and thought it may have been a bad batch of anodizing. It appears the stock photos are black and white and do not clearly show the color. Find some color pics to see the blue. Now, having said that the color is growing on me. Only other gripe is the plastic main spring housing...looks cheap.
Pistol was stripped, cleaned and oiled before break-in. 250 rounds of 115gr FMJ and no issues.
Front sight needs to be drifted, it’s not centered, not a major issue.
This is my 5th Ruger and could not be happier.

Very good fit and finish. The accuracy is fantastic as with most Rugers. The guns barrel lockup is second to none and the weight is perfect for quick and accurate follow up shots. I got a amazing deal on this pistol.

Nice pistol. Bought this as a companion to my to Officer sized 1911s in .45ACP. One all steel (heavy to carry- nice to shoot) and one light weight (nice to carry a little snappy to shoot). It fits the gap nicely. Very accurate out of the box. Don't like the slim grips (they are nice) because they don't fit my hand well. On recoil the safety bits into my thumb. Easy fix. Houge grips to solve the problem. Pleased with the pistol as good as the other Ruger SR1911s. Bub's service still good as always. Thanks.

I have had this pistol close to a year. Very accurate and fun to shoot. The only issue I have is sometimes the action won't go all the way forward and I have to nudge it forward.

i found the Ruger light weight Officer model to have very good build quality. It's barrel and frame to slide fits were absent even the slightest of movements and the trigger had a delightfully crisp (measured) four pound break. These features and the quality of the barrel allowed for sub one inch off hand groups at twelve yards. Despite the tight fit of its parts the Officer's 9mm has had zero malfunctions in approximately 300 rounds fired to date.The only negative about the gun is poor regulation of the sights. While it was on horizontally it shot consistently low, three inches with 115 grain loads and 2 3/4 with 124 grain loads at 12 to 15 yards. Despite this problem it has become my every day off duty carry gun. It is easy to conceal, comfortable to wear, and accurate and powerful enough to rely on. Over all a very nice 1911 variant that I would strongly urge others to consider

I'm a fan of the Officer/Commander size 1911 in general and both the Kimber and Ruger Brands above any others.I picked this Ruger 6758 that I ordered from Bud's up from my FFL dealer and went immediately to the range. Accuracy right out of the box was very good and got better after a couple of hundred rounds. I used two different brands of ammo with different loads and both worked well. I did experience a failure to feed maybe 3 or 4 times in the first 75-100 rounds but nothing after that. Biggest problem was a consistent failure to lock open after last round fired in a magazine. I'm hoping that after a good field strip cleaning and a couple hundred more rounds the slide lock problem will resolve. Otherwise an excellent pistol, good balance, recoil is easily handled, and a good weight and size for an everyday carry pistol.

Great gun it has been reliable from the start with several types of ammo. I'm sure that the ramped barrel has a lot to do with it.

So far, 300 rounds, the only issue is the mags only lock the slide to the rear when empty half the time. I have tried 115, 124 and 147 and it does.t seem to matter. The gun is accurate, and I will see how it goes after 500 rounds. Fast delivery and fair trade with Bud,s.

This is a good shooter. Has a good trigger. Recoil is manageable. Over all I do like this firearm. If I had one problem it is the mag capacity, it is 7. I was able to get 8 in the magazine, but when I did the plus one the next round did not stripe properly and jammed. I only tried this once because I wanted to shoot. Like I said I do like this firearm.

The new Ruger SR1911 Officer Style 9mm is an excellent compact 9mm single stack pistol. The “Officer” handled 100rds of Blazer Brass FMJ without a malfunction. The pistol handled like a full-size 1911 with no muzzle flip due to the weight of the “bull barrel.” I found no difference in the feel of the shorter grip frame (allowing only an 8rd magazine opposed to a 9rd mag on a full sized frame.) The pistol was very accurate with tight patterns up to 7 yards. The Ruger SR1911 Officer Style 9mm, with its light weight, makes it a great CCW candidate as an IWB or OWB.
