Just bought my Rossi. Out of the box the charging handle is loose. Real wobbly. Is this normal? I've read reviews where they say it is.

Just the design of the Rossi receiver with how the bolt & charging handle work in conjunction with one another. You get the "Wiggle" on the charging handle.

Joseph, yes, 100% normal. All the charging handles on Rossi rs22 have alot of wiggle/play in them. It's just the way they're made. The charging handle isn't actually attached to the bolt, it just sits in-between the grooves on the bolt. Once you take it apart and clean it you'll realize why it wiggles. Absolutely nothing to worry about. My Marlin model 60 sb does the same thing. Hope this helps.

What kind of hunting scope does it take

This has a 3/8 dovetail Rail so this could take just about any type of scope. You can buy dovetail scope rings or buy a dovetail picatinny rail so you can use picatinny scope rings. Hope this helps.

The Mounts are 3/8" so any scope with 3/8" clamps will work. There are many types of scopes available. I guess it all comes down to purpose (Plinking or Hunting) & how much you'd like to spend?

It has ⅜" dovetail mount, so it'll take any scope rings that attach via ⅜ dovetail, or you can get a dovetail to picrail, or dovetail to weaver rail mount, and then you can mount any scope/optic that attaches to a pic/weaver rail. Great rifle. Very accurate and reliable. Never has malfunctioned on me. Has shot everything I put through it. It can take the mossberg 702 plinkster mags in it. Great target and squirrel or rabbit rifle.

First gun purchase from Buds and am happy with their customer service, fast shipping, and great prices. I purchased the Rossi RS22 LR. First impression is it seems cheap. Very light, and just kind of cheesy. Slapped on a cheap scope and bi pod and went to the range. After a quick sight in, all I can say is WOW!! I won't say it's a tack driver, but at 50 yards running CCI standard velocity I was grouping just a hair under 1/2" groups. There were occasional flyers be it me or the ammo, but the gun ran flawlessly. I tried Aguilla, Federal auto match (it seemed to like it also) along with blazer and arms Corp. Stretched it out to 100 yards and was still consistently sub 1". After about 150 rounds of different ammo, I finally had my first stovepipe with the Aguilla. Does it still feel cheesy....yep. I will say that this Rossi makes cheesy look pretty darn good! Will be buying an RB22B in LR soon. That's Buds gun shop for a great price and easy transaction.
