Mossberg & Sons 590M Mag-Fed 12ga 18.5" Heavy Wall Barrel Cylinder Bore - Blue/Black, 18.5" Barrel, 10 Rounds

Hey folk, I’ve owned multiple mossberg shotgun and rifles. This is a decent firearm and if it’s the only thing you can find, then get it. If you can get your hands on a regular Mossberg pump shotgun, please do yourself the favor and get the pump. This firearms weakness is how specific the ammo needs to be to fit in the magazine/not get caught up when pumping to add one to the chamber. Many brands make 2 3/4 shells, however, each brand shell is actually different. The machine will struggle with some brands like RIO but will do great with most USA brands like Winchester, federal, and Remington. If ammo shortages continue to be the norm, you’d want something reliable that would eat anything. This machine can be a picky eater.

I am very disappointed this version (50206) with heat shield has no tri-rail as stated on buds and mossberg websites. It also has the smaller 6.75” slide tube and the mount for the heat shield blocks the slide action if a 1” hogue adapter is used meaning most of the more common aftermarket foreends do not work, unless you know someone that will do machine work(which I suspect voids any warranty). I now have a streamlight racker that is sitting on a shelf and have to rethink my approach to getting a light on this. That said the gun itself is great fun do shot and ghost ring sights were dead on at 10m out of the box, still worth three stars given the misrepresentation.

Very pleasant shooting experience. Magazine load/unload smooth and effortless. Single cartridge loading without any issues.
Straight out of the box, no sight adjustments and shot accurately.

What can I say? It's a Mossberg and it has detachable double-stack mags.
It's rugged, reliable, and accurate. Love the 10 round mag.
There are now a few piles of toothpicks on the range where there used to be bowling pins... VBG

She's so...heavy. I bought this during the corona panic buying spree. I just wanted a regular 590 or 500, but this was all I could find that was available. Not sorry for buying it, though. Just remember this weighs a lot with the mag, and will weigh more if you get a bigger mag.

I have been a Remington 870 guy most of my life but this shotgun has turned me into a Mossberg man. This is a rugged quality piece of armament. It cycles smoothly and points intuitively. The only knocks I can think of is the safety is a bit stiff and you have to be careful when loading the magazines. If a shell gets caught in the neck of the magazine, it'll never load. A little dry lube should do the trick. It came with a 10 round mag and I bought a 15 round mag...I'd love to get a 20 rounder but their are impossible to find right now. The mags are super rugged and massive. Between the two mags I put a entire box of 00 buckshot in them. Haven't fired it yet but have rack though both mags and think it will be fine. I might be adding a breach tip to the end of the magazine cap but otherwise this weapon is complete as is.

My gun arrived quick at my local FFL in the middle of a “pandemic”! Buds really takes care of business. My gun was shipped out and arrived in great condition. The DOJ had me on delayed for about a month almost but I finally got approved and have my brand new 590m here at home. ITS BEAUTIFUL!

At first I was trying desperately for a comparable shotgun for less but they were not available. Im quite pleased they were not. Im very happy with my purchase, beautiful shotgun, smooth chambering and good feel.

Shotgun received in good condition. Ammo seems very old. When I opened the Shipping box the individual ammo boxes were tattered and fell apart.
